About the Job Shadowing Mobility

Between 15-22.03.2025 , a group of professionals from Association of Psychologists in Bulgaria took part in a Job Shadowing mobility at the Department of Psychology at the University Mother Theresa in Skopje, North Macedonia. The visit was part of our Erasmus+ initiative to build capacity, strengthen partnerships, and support the professional growth of adult educators.

Participants observed and engaged with academic and support staff to better understand how psychological education, research, and student engagement are approached in an international context.


Focus Areas of the Program

The Job Shadowing included participation in the Peer Observation Program, structured around 10 observation modules:

  • Academic observation ethics and confidentiality

  • Evaluation of teaching methodologies

  • Review of scientific research by faculty

  • Student feedback collection and analysis

  • Observation of consultations and therapeutic work

  • Communication and interpersonal dynamics

  • Use of digital technologies in teaching

  • Professional and personal attributes of educators

  • Interdisciplinary projects in psychology

  • Final review and recommendations for improvement


Key Outcomes

  • ✅ Insight into innovative teaching practices and psychotherapeutic approaches

  • ✅ Hands-on experience in peer observation protocols and feedback processes

  • ✅ Enhanced understanding of student-centered methods and learning support

Impact and Future Directions

This job shadowing mobility contributed directly to the Erasmus+ program goals of internationalization, capacity building, and mutual learning. The insights gained will inform future training activities, curriculum improvement, and teaching strategies within our institution.

Plans for follow-up collaboration are already in motion, including potential co-hosted webinars, research exchanges, and expanded mobility opportunities.
