Project 2020-1-RS01-KA227-SCH-094545 ANTIGONE- Awareness raising on gender-based violence through theatre-based school workshops is funded under the Erasmus+ program and its objectives are:
- General objective: reducing the risk of gender-based violence, which can potentially lead to the social exclusion of secondary school students, especially in a crisis situation like the one we live in today, using creative and theatrical methods.
- Specific objective: to enable teachers to organize theater-based workshops on gender-based violence in their classroom, but also through the use of online tools.
The project aimed to empower secondary school teachers to organize theatre-based workshops in order to raise awareness related to GBV in physical presence but also online. It is based on participatory theatre techniques which allow the development of empathy and the active involvement of the participants in real-life situations, in the context of a safe environment. In order to achieve this objective, a Handbook was developed in relation to the organization of these workshops with all the necessary information that will allow the independent use of the method from the teachers to their schools.
The project in which AYPB participates as a partner is coordinated by DAH theatre in Serbia and was implemented by a consortium that includes Fondazione Aida from Italy, Aeroploio Theatre from Greece, Association of Young Psychologists in Bulgaria, INSITE Drama from Hungary, the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and Realstars from Sweden
